Stoically Excited

"Find something you love to do and you'll never have to work a day in your life."

- Harvey MacKay

As I sit here writing my very first blog, I'll bet many of you have seen our new website and are wondering, "How does it feel to have your own business and website?" Well, I am going to let you know what went through my mind when I finally found out the site went live and was viewable by the public. I was sitting in Miranda's kitchen, when all of a sudden the door flung open. Miranda came tromping inside (very excited to see me of course) shouting excitedly with her mom following close behind. They told me to type in our URL in the address bar. I was already in shock from the door being flung open, but gladly followed their directions. A few seconds later, "BAM" our website pops up fully functional for the public eye. Miranda not only starts shouting even more excitedly, but she also started jumping up and down in a funny manner. I, on the other hand, just sat there staring at the screen with a shocked look on my face. Our site was finally up and running for everyone to see. Miranda and her mom kept asking me "Aren't you excited?" But I couldn't hear them. They were in the back of my mind at that moment in time. All I could think about was how absolutely amazing this moment was. Like I said, I was in shock. Not the shock that you would get from a tazer gun. But the shock that you felt when you found out that Santa wasn't real because you snuck downstairs at two in the morning to see if he delivered you anything big. But instead, you found your parents wrapping presents and signing them with Santa's name. Or the shock you got when you found out that the tooth fairy wasn't real because your mom decided to put money underneath your pillow while wearing swishy pants. As she approached, you opened your eyes because you wanted to catch the tooth fairy in the act. Instead you see your mom swishing away in a hurry. That was the kind of shock I was in when I found out our website was now live. I was stoically excited.
